Day 3
In your own space, post recs for at least three fanworks that you did not create. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
Today, I'm going to rec some fanvids.
I really admire people who can create fanvids; I've never done so myself, but it's definitely something that takes a great deal of skill and a keen sense of timing.
(Please note that pretty much all of these videos contain major spoilers for their respective works of media.)
Puella Magi Madoka Magica
Mahou Shoujo Requiem
One of my favorite AMVs, set to one of my favorite songs (Florence + The Machine's "Cosmic Love")! The timing is spot-on, with lots of quick scene changes aligning with the drumbeats in the song, and there's some good use of effects. Today, I'm going to rec some fanvids.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica
Mahou Shoujo Requiem
Walpurgisnacht
Some great editing work in this one; the creator has basically created a potential alternate timeline for the events of the series. It's very well-done, and feels like something that could definitely have happened.
Death Note
Dance With The Devil
The song choice is perfect for this series; the vid is fast-paced, action packed, and emotional.
Shatter Me
I honestly never would have thought someone would use this song in a Death Note AMV, but it works really well!
Harry Potter
The War
I really like what the creator did with the editing/song intro--the opening of the song goes "A warning to the people, the good and the evil: This is war. To the soldier, the civilian, the martyr, the victim" and so forth with the creator assigning different characters each role; I just thought that worked really well.
Revolutionary Girl Utena
Deluge
This one uses clips from both the anime series and the movie; it focuses on the relationships Utena and Anthy have with their "princes" and each other. As the title suggests, water shows up prominently; according to the creator's description on Youtube, the video "us[es] water as both an agent of destruction/suffocation, and that of gentleness/nourishment." (I only wish the quality were a bit better!)
Inner Universe
This is an Anthy-centric AMV; something about the combination of the song and the clips gives me chills, at times.
